I am a structural engineer turned BIM and construction-informatics specialist. After designing mid- and high-rise structures and supervising bridge rehabilitation in Pakistan, I moved to Europe for the Erasmus Mundus Master in BIM A+ at the University of Minho, Portugal and the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
At Kolektor Koling I manage project Common Data Environments to ISO 19650, integrate 4D/5D BIM on the Port of Koper and Drugi tir railway projects, and build practical AI tools — a web-based IFC editor, OCR- and RAG-based document search, and drawing-to-BOQ pipelines — that move everyday manual work into digital workflows.
My current research explores controlling BIM software with natural language through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), under the mentorship of Prof. Žiga Turk.
Manage Common Data Environments on the Divača–Koper second railway track, Port of Koper North Pier and Celje General Hospital; integrate 4D/5D BIM; build the company's AI tools — Kolektor IFC Editor, Scan2Archive, Scan2Read, Scan2Search, IFC Converter — and author its AI-in-construction strategy.
Designed and analysed commercial and residential structures, including the G+8 Ihsan Tower, in ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE to ACI 318-19 and ASCE 7-16; modelled in Revit and ran clash detection in Navisworks.
Led replacement of 25-year-old elastomeric bearing pads and rehabilitation of expansion joints across all M2 motorway bridges, supervising bridge lifting and structural inspections to ASTM and AASHTO standards.
Designed mid-rise commercial and residential buildings to ACI 318 and UBC 97; prepared calculations, drawings and specifications.
CAREC Regional Improving Border Services programme — roads, retaining walls, drainage and water supply at Torkham, Chaman and Wagha border crossings; AutoCAD and Civil 3D design, earthwork and material take-offs.
